Hornets Achievements over the last decade

The Hornets led the NBA for attendance during the entire 90s decade. Larry Johnson won the
Rookie of the Year award in 1991. Dell Curry won the sixth man award in 1993 and
1995. The Hornets have also made several playoff appearances. In 1993 they defeated the
Boston Celtics in the first when with an unforgetable buzzer beater by Alonzo Mourning.
The Hornets lost in the second round however. The Hornets have also made the second round
two other times but lost both times to the Chicago Bulls. The Hornets had a strong team
in 1996 but the return of Michael Jordan sent the Hornets packing in a four game
sweep. In 1998, the Bulls once again defeated the Hornets but this time it took the
Bulls five games to send the Hornets back to Charlotte.

Hopefully, the Hornets will go all the way in the year 2000.
